Marina Policies

    1. All vessels MUST register UPON ARRIVAL at all GVHA facilities
    2. Vessel owners MUST abide by current GVHA Port Policies including the following:
      • All rates are in Canadian funds
      • US exchange rates are subject to change
      • Rafting is mandatory at all facilities when necessary
      • Prepaid moorage is non-refundable
      • Monthly moorage payment is due on the 1st of each month. The signing of a moorage agreement is required along with payment of a damage/security deposit
      • Any vessel owners that are invoiced for non-payment of moorage and other fees will be charged a $20.00 invoicing fee.
    • In accordance with Transport Canada's regulations, the discharge of black water, petroleum products or any other non-biodegradable substance into the harbour waters is strictly forbidden.
    • Power washing, scraping, sanding, painting, or any type of construction is strictly forbidden at all GVHA facilities. No waste materials are to enter the marine environment.
    •  Please do not place dinghies, ladders or any other potential obstructions on GVHA docks.
    •  In consideration of other marina visitors, please maintain respectable noise levels and keep any gatherings or other activities contained while moored at GVHA facilities. Quiet hours are 11pm to 7am.
    •  Generators cannot be run from 9pm to 7am.
    • While on the docks, children under the age of 12 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
    • All PETS visitng the marinas MUST BE ON A LEASH and accompanied by thier owners at all times. Owners are responsible for cleaning up any pet waste deposited at GVHA facilities.
    • For safety reasons, there is no rollerblading, skateboarding, bicycle or scooter riding on the GVHA docks or lower causeway. 

Canadian Fishing Vessels

  1.  CFBs have the exclusive use of fingers 6 & 7 at Fisherman's Wharf only.
  2. Vessels over 50'/15m must make prior arrangements before tying up at any GVHA facility.
  3. Vessel owners MUST abide by current GVHA Port Policies including the following: 
    1.  All rates are in Canadian funds
    2. US exchange rate is subject to change
    3. Rafting is mandatroy when necessary
    4. Docks are to be kept free of all chattels and encumbrances at all times
    5. Yellow loading zones must be observed
    6. Prepaide moorage payment by other means is due upon reminder by dock crew
    7. Use of electricity, if not previously arranged, requires immediate payment
    8. Any vessel owners that are invoiced for non-payment of moorage and other fees without making prior arrangements will be charged a $20.00 invoicing fee
    9. Automatic moorage and power payments will not be subject to an invoicing fee
    10. Daily moorage payment is to be paid either directly to GVHA dock crew or left in the drop box in the envelope provided

  5. Pre-authorized Credit Card payments (to be arranged at the Marina Office).

Payments can be made in person at the Kiosk on the Causeway Floats, during office hours at the Marina Office at 468 Belleville Street (second floor), or with the Dock Crew during daily rounds. Payment envelopes may be deposited in the following safe/drop box locations at:

  • Causeway Floats - drop box located at kiosk at bottom of gangway 
  • Fisherman's Wharf - safe/drop box located at bottom of 'West' gangway

Cancellation Policy

  1. Moorage and reservation fees are non-refundable.
  2. 48 hours notice of reservation cancellation is required or one day's moorage (without power) will be charged.

Check Out Time

Check out time is 12pm. Vessels staying beyond this time will be charged another night's moorage unless prior arrangements have been made. 

Electrical Connections

Electrical connections to vessels must meet fire regulations and the local electrical code.

The following criteria is mandatory:

  • 20 amp plug requires minimum 12/3 wire
  • 30 amp plug requires minimum 10/3 wire
  • All cords must be suitable for outdoor use
  • Cord caps must be corrosion resistant
  • Cords must be connected securely to a cord cap

Lines must be adequate and sufficient in such a way as to be safe in any type of weather. Nylon or polypropylene lines are not acceptable.
