Greater Victoria Harbour Authority (GVHA) is currently seeking a full-time Communications Assistant to be responsible for a variety of day-to-day programming, content and administrative tasks in support of internal and external communications and marketing activities. The position is also responsible for coordinating GVHA corporate events logistics as well as providing support for GVHA sponsored / supported event logistics and branding.
Ideally, you have a diploma in Communications or equivalent, a minimum of 2 years' related experience in a communications role, and at least 1 year experience in event planning. You are proficient with all types of media platforms and MS office applications. Experience with photography and videography is an asset.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellend verbal, written and editing communication skills, is very organized and attention detailed, has strong stakeholders relation skills and enjoys working collaboratively.
